Details	Academic writing is a difficult skill for students to master. This presentation examines organizational patterns found in samples of academic writing produced by Japanese students, based on data collected by the presenter. It also introduces similarities and differences between English and Japanese texts, and explains how English teachers can work together with other teachers to help students improve their academic writing in both languages.
