Details	Listening is perhaps one of the most difficult skills to teach, as it is “the least overt of the four language skills” (Vandergrift, 2004). This presentation draws on recent research in ESL listening, including work by Anderson and Lynch (1988) and Underwood (1989), to explore how instructors can design lessons that help students engage with and learn from the language and content they encounter.
