Details	In this lecture, I described experiences learned in renovating more than twelve traditional Japanese buildings, and converting them into either residences, inns, or business spaces. The focus of this interview was on the sustainability of remodeling (re-forming, for the Japanese audience) old buildings as opposed to building them from scratch. We also discussed the use of natural materials and the Japanese aesthetic in building design.
