概要	This was the year that a new department, the School of International Studies, opened at Kwansei Gakuin University in Nishinomiya. Along with my new colleagues, I was tasked with reviewing and refining the existing the curriculum documents for Academic Writing and Oral Communication classes, as they were in draft form when we arrived to take up our positions.
