Details	Doshisha University, Faculty of Literature. Culture, Ethics and Conflict Resolution: Four-skills course aimed at developing critical thinking and the sophisticated vocabulary, expressive and strategic skills necessary for academic discussion. Grounded in a highly interactive, communicative approach, the course introduces a range of issues to be pursued in depth through individual research and presentations. Each week, reading or research is set as preparatory homework. Class time builds on this foundation, nurturing pair work and group activities. In addition to student presentations, there is continuous assessment, frequent attainment checks and reflection reports throughout the course. Attainment target in line with the C1 (four skills) level of CEFR.
