Details Doshisha University. Culture, Ethics and Conflict Resolution/Global Issues: Four-skills EAP course based on discussing contemporary issues from the perspectives of theories of culture, ethics and CR. The class target is to develop a range of vocabulary, expressive and strategic skills and knowledge to facilitate study abroad. Emphasising a communicative approach, the course takes a lecture-workshop-student presentation format. Reading/ listening/video are prepared as homework. Class time builds on this foundation, nurturing pair work and group activities - including discussions, role-plays, presentations and interviews. There will be continuous assessment of activities, attainment checks and reflection reports. Students are encouraged to maintain a regular reading habit as part of their English practice and to use the M-reader programme. Attainment target: C1 (four skills) level of CEFR.
