Details | In my classes, I design my lessons to utilize pair work where meaningful communication can be used. For instance, I have my students conduct discussions based on pre-assigned questions and students are expected to answer, listen to what is said and ask follow-up questions. As the spontaneity of actual conversations is a skill Japanese students need to improve on, I provide support by showing a conversation structure (turns taking) and follow-up question prompters. |
