Details | The learning of vocabulary is an important but often neglected area of university teaching. In line with similar strategies from EFL teaching, the "vocabulary challenge" tries to integrate the extra-curricular memorization of vocabulary as part of Active Learning into the classroom. Students are challenging their peers in a one-minute-competition at the beginning of each lesson. For each textbook, a list is made per chapter in the mother tongue (J) and target language (G). The lists are created together with the learners and used throughout the year. |
