Item Religions in Japan (Faculty of Global Engagement and the Faculty of Foreign Studies)
Details n this new course for the Faculty of Global Engagement and the Faculty of Foreign Studies, I examined all the Japanese religious traditions, from the earliest times to the modern era of Japan: Shinto, Buddhism, Confucianism, Christianity, and the New Religions. During the course, I also explored topics like Buddhist-Shinto interaction, the relation of religion and State, pilgrimage, and popular culture. Every lesson was held with the support of visual materials, like the software PowerPoint and video. A part of every lesson was dedicated to the reading of significant bibliographic materials. Every student of the 154 who participated in the course submitted a report on a topic linked to that handled during the course.
