Details	In the morning workshop, I present and lead discussions on the use of authentic materials in the second language classroom, and outline current theoretical and practical approaches that have been adopted and implemented in Japan. In the afternoon workshop, I introduce a number of techniques and actual materials for use in Japanese JHS/HS classrooms. My focus is particularly on the audio/visual medium, and therefore features songs and short DVD clips, among other examples. The core of this approach was to present how grammar could be taught through these techniques, and also create a fun, interesting and motivating learning environment.
