概要	The uncertainty in the Anthropocene, a contemporary risk, challenges us to rethink the nature of education. Environmental education (EE) and education for sustainable development (ESD), which address contemporary issues, inherently highlight aspects where mainstream education fails to keep up with the times. Therefore, their theories and practices are expected to address these uncertainties. Case studies suggest the potential to overcome modern structures such as decontextualization, centralization, commodification, and objectification.
