Title Think Globally Act Locally
Conference Type Local
Lecture Type Lecturer
Contribution Type Individual
Details The theme of this lecture was to highlight global environmental challenges that we face as a global human society, as well as focusing on more personal and actionable things that individuals, teachers, and students can do in their daily lives to make a positive impact in terms of sustainability. We looked first at 'big picture' global issues such as climate change and diminishing resources, and then more local and personal environmental issues such as recycling, disposable chopsticks, and plastic bags. The aim was to promote student activism and think about small ways that we can all make a difference in our regular lives.
