Details | The overall regional security structure in East Asia and what might lie ahead are considered. First, the regional security structure which is the Hub and Spoke system centered around the US was explained.Japan's long-term trade strategy that has China’s increasing clout in mind was discussed in detail as it has bearings on the idea of “responsible stakeholder” in the liberal trade order. Finally, the policy options that East Asian countries like Japan have was briefly outlined against this backdrop. |
